I'm not a shark

Hyacinthe

I'm not a shark.

If I needed to stop swimming I could.

If I wanted to take a break I would,

'Cause I'm not a shark.

It's only if I stopped swimming I wouldn't know what to do.

Swimming was all I had.

The only thing I knew was true,

But I'm not a shark.

I wouldn't die,

My life would only pause.

That was until I moved again.

I'm really no Jaws.

I loved to swim.

At least I thought I did.

I don't think I stopped long enough to find something new.

I suppose that could be why I had nothing else to do.

If I stopped and took part

Would it all end?

Maybe it would start.

I don't think I'm a shark.

Could I be dead?

No, I'm not a shark.

I just need to swim to get this out of my head.
