A plants life

tjstoll

I was sitting on a window sill

malnourished

my leaves crumbling

only sunlight from the winter sky

I was decaying

I was alone

I wasn't taken care of

I wasn't like the old me

None of me was the same

raindrops ran down me

I was soft

I was given life

A life I have dreamed of

I have grown

I love myself

I am beautiful

I am loved.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem relates to mental health. I wanted to relate mental health problems to a plant, because often times they aren't taken care of just like sometimes we don't take care of ourselves.
