Venus

Natalie Gladmir

From the cold sea depths and caves
On the gray-haired lambs of waves
To the sunny shore the wind will lead
My battered sail, space for life I need.
With a light quick gait I went around
The earthly firmament and found
Delightful patrimony in Cyprus coast.
With granted wishes without boast
Fancy Graces from realm of dreams
Adorn my hair with a wreath Supreme.
Amid Olympic gods I hold the ruling,
Insist without end my look grants bliss.
If a mortal longs enthralling feeling,
I'll surely reward with love for kiss.
A magic belt enwinds a slender waist,
So that the lovers' feelings in no case
Do not go away with water in the sand.
I can awaken tenderness in people and
Unite all devotees' hearts in Holy Land.

      Dear sir,
Thank you for the the kind words of my modest literary baggage. Sometimes I express my interest in the ancient world in poetic form.
