stages

vxdeophone

please do not confuse my grief with sorrow

for when my veins start to overflow

and pour out slowly onto my skin

every ounce is dosed with rage and intention

because self harm is my choice of violence

and if the calm comes before the storm

then may peace be the grace of all covers

because my pain will attach to clouds

and my words become thunderbolts

my very own destruction will shed into its darkest coat

only a hopeful fool could think

that this storm will pass
