I knew that you were leaving
heard it from a little bird
I could see your heart was breaking
but you didn’t say a word
to save me any heartbreak
you closed your eyes to the light
but now my heart is breaking
morning, noon and night
is pain like this endless
that comes crashing like waves?
are tears that flow rivers
to seas of memories made?
I won’t explain the missing
but it’s bigger than the sky
that knowing I won’t see you
in every tear I cry

Nicely expressed but so sad (( grief is so difficult , missing someone so very much
