As the train speeds by
Revealing to the eye
Sights wondrous to behold
Which cannot by mouth be told
A content settles in
The heart – which is its inn.
Sunlight sifting though the leaves
Quite an indescribable pattern weaves
Dark green, light green shrubs are seen
A sight that would impress a teen…
Some have boughs where birds do sing -
Who, peace to the mind, of others, bring.
Leave the wear and tear of life
Think no more of unkind strike
Relax, as you can only do on a train
Let content seep deep into your brain
Enjoy, enjoy, while there is still time
After all – there is also a sweetness in the lime.
