Side Character

tenshi

Oh, hero, where is the eternal love that you promise?

Where are the eyes that sparkle whenever it gazes at me?

You healed me and then broke me.

Oh hero, when I'm begging are you two kissing?

Oh hero, why is your love changing,

Hero, your smile, touch, and kiss are what I'm missing.

I watch as the two of you dance in the middle of the ballroom,

I wanted to move my eyes aways from both of you but all I felt is a tears that will fall soon,

Your hand that touches her waist

the smile that is supposed to be mine

the loving gaze that was once mine.

Oh, hero, it used to be mine,

How can your heart remain fine?

While my heart will never again be fine.

I can hear my heart shattering,

while her heart and yours are fluttering.

My heart drops, my tears drop,

When will this heart stop?

As I watch both of you dance,

I remember a fairytale book I read once

It was about a princess and a hero a long long time ago

as I reached the ending a line caught my eye

The hero and a princess will always be together,

meanwhile the side character will always be alone forever,

And I now remember,

that I will always remain as a side character

while you and the princess are the main character.

Great writing .. nicely expressed ! Very difficult to watch something we wish we were part of .. to stand and not be able to do anything about it
