There’s an old salty seaman
at the back of a ship
that’s sinking into the sea
I can hear the words
from his stiff upper lip
as he sadly recites to me
You can’t save me
You can’t save me
So, turn your eyes away
I will sleep
In the cold, dark deep
and you’ll see another day

This brought to mind Longfellow's great poem, "The Wreck of the Hesperus." I like a good seafaring poem. I enjoyed the read.
Many thanks. Glad you liked it.
