Breezes

ModernBard

Why would I not take my words

And here them write down?

Why would I not steer the herds

Thru my hungry town?

Why would I not take a chance

And try something different?

Why would I not try romance—

Abandoning resentment?

Why not hop on board a ship

And take a little trip

Where the dolphins flop and flip

And women take a sip

Of drinks made up of nectar’s dew

And of drunk commands?…

Why not take a chance yourself

And hop onboard this ride?

Take a chance upon yourself

To ride these waters wide.

Take a chance that we’ll end—where?—nobody knows,

And with her sip from a cup

As warm breezes blow.

    that lady of Chance
    only the bold n brave
    may glimpse,
    merciful grace
in that starlit hue of our
    Ocean skies..
    (thanks for sharing, dear Poet
    a journey, in a read
    an escape visage, anchored
    in reality's scenes)
