“What do you see”

Hoolihooli

I stare into my eyes

They ask “what do you see”

I see someone I wish not to be me

“I see a person”

i respond with nothing in mind

“Everyone’s a person, what do you see?”

I see someone I wish not to be me

“I see the look of hatred in my eyes”

i respond with nothing in mind

“There is no hatred behind those words, you are too kind, I ask you again what do you see?”

I see someone I wish not to be me

“I see someone ugly, someone who should not be”

i respond with nothing in mind

“there is no such thing as ugly, or a reason to be, instead it is already decided that you will be here with me, I ask you finally what do you see?”

i see a person someone I wish not to be

i will change to be a person someone I am proud to see

“I see a person, that I can call me”
