Loneliness in me

_lonely__side

When you look at me you might not see

All the loneliness that resides inside me

sometimes I think of all the people I loved

Why didn't any of them feel hurt when they abandoned me?

At least you must've held me tight

At least you could have kissed me good night

But you never cared to love me for who I am

In the end you always cared about winning the fight

So somehow everyone was better without me

I stopped blaming myself when I realized it wasn't because of me

If they truly loved me they'd stay

They'd find out ways to love every good and bad part of me.

Can relate. Abandonment or feeling abandoned is painful ☹️

    • _lonely__side

It surely is. Thanks for the comment. Makes me feel heard!!

I feel you. It's especially hard when people you once trusted and you thought you knew, abandon you or betray you. But someone once told me "it's worth it to fight the sorrow of the present for a better future"

      • _lonely__side

yes exactly. Betrayal hurts but that void those people leave hurts equally as much.

"it's worth it to fight the sorrow of the present for a better future" - Thanks for the kind words. Hope time brings forth best for us.
