It's Not Your Fault

Spamalicious

He's so sweet now

Buys you flowers now

He takes your hands in his now

Tells you you're beautiful now

He says he'll play dad to your kids now

Makes them laugh now

But what about later

Behind closed doors

His hands are putting holes in the wall

He says you could work on your appearance

The minute you put on sweats and let your hair down

He only plays dad when it's convenient for him

While you're stuck being mom 24/7

The kids tiptoe around the mine field that is his anger

He says the clothing you wear

Is begging for the attention of other men

If their eyes wander

"It's your fault"

Run my sister

How dare you not buy him a gift simply just because

His bank account is empty when it comes to groceries, gas, and rent

But money magically appears for his stupid shit

You don't make enough to support him and your kids?

"It's your fault"

Run my sister

You want to spend time with your brother?

Your sister, father, and mother?

You don't give him enough of your time

"It's your fault."

Run my sister

The house is a mess

"It's your fault"

The children grieve for the dead dog

"It's your fault!"

Their tears are a nuisance

"It's YOUR fault!"

The smallest inconvenience happened

"IT'S YOUR FUCKING FAULT!"

He's not happy

..... "It's my fault"

RUN MY SISTER! RUN! FLEA!

FIGHT HIM OFF WITH EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT!

YOU DESERVE TO FEEL FREE

TO FEEL COMFORTABLE IN YOUR OWN SKIN!

YOU DESERVE LOVE

BUT YOU DON'T DESERVE THIS!.
