Stranger Staring At Me

Mark The Phenomenon

I asked as I starred in the mirror so blindly--

Who are you and how did you happen to find me--

My spine shivers, i'm alone and so cold--

Nobody to love me, nobody to hold--

My reflection is a stranger staring back at me--

My soul is leaving now my body’s beneath me--

I’m lost and feeling so empty--

I hope the one who made me won’t find a way to resent me--

This gave me chills because this is exactly the way i've been feeling as of late.

The most bitter pill to swallow is always the one that we feed ourselves. A mirror can be uplifting, yet quite terrifying. Welcome to My Poetic Side.
