A tale at the lover’s rock

Milind Gautam

Sitting at the lover's rock,
We remembered our first time together
when we became more than 'just friends'.
Under the moonlight, we slow danced,
It was your favourite song,
From 'Beach House' to 'Cigarettes after Sex', things escalated very quickly.
It felt unreal to be with the girl of my dreams, the girl in my sonnets.
My fingers were playing drums on your waist while your hair locks were seducing my soul.
Fifty shades of grey were picking colours,
Your nectar was softening my walls and
your warmth was keeping in check my cold misery.
Our hearts said joie de vivre,
The swing of our hips were in sync.
The moon caught us in a banter.
If 'must be nice' was a person at that moment,
It was the moon whose light gleamed on me,
Making my love lunatic.
The moon left us on our own while the sun witnessed the mess we had made
Things escalated very quickly…
