Old Friend

Noah Malice

Old friend
It's so nice to hear from you again
You just sit and talk, and I'll listen
and then maybe we can get to then back when...

Old friend
All the years that we have let go by
Have brought us back to when we said goodbye
And now I don't know why

We did

Exactly what happened between a very good old friend and me more than 40 years ago. We lost touch after moving. But when we got together again recently it was just like old times. So wonderful.

    Awesome!
    effortlessly relatable
    and those light piano notes
    accentuate
    the duality of both
    whimsical and yearning, tones
    of your words..
    thanks for sharing

Sigh. And as the days go by we will ever wonder why. Most occasions the answers come shy or not at all. (Brings a tear to the eye) Thanks for sharing. /Rik.
