Do The Right Thing?

hzugman

I clipped the coupons and signed up for the discount

Consolidated my debt and only insured for what I need

Maxed out my 401k and took only modest vacations

Walked when riding would be much more convenient

Invested only in products made in the USA

“shopped” at the Goodwill

Wore my clothes until they became rags

Donated to others less fortunate

Kept that second job

Even bought day old bread

Never “cut” class

Turned the other cheek

Voted in every election

Did it myself when I could do it myself

Thanked my maker for every blessing I received

Consumed very little junk food

So why am I still broke?

The speculators run the world, and the air you breathe belongs to them.
You will be rewarded someday. Just not in this world. Mind you, In Britain you don't retire, you just die.
