I Forgive You

orangemermaidhair

For all of the hurt we caused
For the loneliness we feel
Life feels so pointless

To have reached the pinnacle only to have it all ripped away
A cruel joke
Never a winner in a game like this

Was this the result of a predetermined fate

My heart aches
Just leave me alone, echos in my thoughts
The reverberations of my future without you

Forgiveness is mine to give
And while it’s only words said to myself
I release the phantom clutch of hope and resolve to allow myself to move on.

I forgive you
I forgive you
I forgive you
I forgive you

I forgive you
I forgive you
I forgive you
I forgive you

I forgive me, I forgive us…
