the tree

kivous

standing tall, green and wide
below the vast, deep blue sky
the bigger my dreams were
the higher i wanted to fly

but as ludicrous as it was
for all you know
deep rooted, yet flying
was just a dream of show!

i often wondered
about the reason i am here
witnessing cycle of emotions
from far and near

do I welcome the rain
or the bright sunny day?
or it is not up to me
to decide anyway...

what do I do then
this all eternity long
and where in this chaos
do I actually belong?

but then, what is the point
of wondering so much
for a traveler that is me
in this world as such?

let me just... just be the tree
that i have always contentedly been
flowering, fruiting and shading
yet careful, of favors remaining unseen

that is all, that is there
to do in this life
and move up the chain
of peace, we all strive.

A magnificent display of wonder. That "peace we all strive" is a longing for bliss. Beautifully conveyed.

      • dusk arising

I am awed by trees, especially in the forests which i tend to regard as natural cathederals.
You have captured the wonder, the spritual majesty of trees here. To be with a tree is to be in the presence of wisdom earned through years of being.
        Into my favourites.

Happy to know that you found a connection here, dusk and I completely agree, there is something about the trees especially in the forests which awes us. Glad you found it worth to add it to your favourites. 🙂

Some trees are so majestic and old and deep rooted and just looking at them can give a sense of awe and wonder. This is a wonderful metaphor of life, of grace. Lovely!
