Try as I might

0121_Pedro

Just this second I missed you, another day that I died,

soaking wet through from April’s showers I’ve cried.

Heartbreak never mending, still in love with her smile,

sorrow never ending, life’s bittersweet disguise.

Still I’ll swim every ocean and search for every light,

I’ll taste every potion and dream every night.

I can’t hide in the wilderness, so again I will try,

befriending loneliness, try as I might.
