Once a lively girl,
Lost herself in a dark swirl.
Unable to stand, she needed a hand.
But peeking out, all she found was a barren land.
She hoped it to be an illusion;
Though with time, she accepted her seclusion.
She went from being chirpy to quite;
but the world around failed to notice her plight.
she mastered the art of concealing,
as she was no more sure about her feelings.
For a little light she must have ached;
But the walls she created over years were hard to break.
Out of the black the girl that came,
was certainly not the same.
The darkness engulfed her all,
sparing not even her soul.
Who was to be blamed?
Life's foul play or the girl that lost her way?

An interesting writing .. feel sorry for the girl. Sometimes things can change us so much .. not even in a good way
Thanks @Violet bluebell
All we could hope for is not to be caught in that dark swirl.
