Teddy.15

Expectations

When life sends you to heaven
Just to see who's there?
Then you come back down to earth
Missing that one soul
You really loved and for
 whom you really cared

Every day a mountain to climb
Every hour, hoping
That you find them in a crowd
Somewhere out there

Knowing that even when
They visit in your dream
To tell you, they are with you

Waking up
You know, that it's not true
And certainly not fair

Missing that special love
And its richness
That made us who were are

Having hold of our own emotion
Standing by our memories
Holding them regardless

Like a hologram that we always see

Love doesn't fade
Neither should She or He.

Thank you, I feel it too every day but it's good to write it all down and share because like you say you felt it too. Thank you dear 0121_pedro, very nice to meet you. πŸ’–

nice to meet you too. A friend recently said the same to me…’write it all down’.
Loss, grief, heartbreak…wounds we keep, but we can heal in time, with reflection and keeping that love.

              • Teddy.15

Yes i have been writing for as long as I can remember about this type theme, and it does give healing. πŸ’–

I am learning just that. I’ve been writing but never publishing.
Mom leaving made me change, and I started with my first one β€˜I miss you’ which hurt to write but i am so glad I did.

I think when you need people, they come back to you. I'm never sure if humans have that telepathy to the dead or not, but in dark times they come back to say hello, and sometimes give you the kick you need.

                  • Teddy.15

I\'m very fortunate to see those I've lost in my dreams , although when my brother comes I always wake up believing his loss was in fact the dream he died when he was 25 I was a year younger, and it was my first taste of loss. Thank you for your beautiful words dear Paul so.much appreciate them. πŸ’–

                    • Paul Bell

25 is life changing for any one person to face. I know people say it will get better through time, but that's not really true, is it. The only truth is, nothing life can throw at you bothers you, cos you've protected yourself against it now.

There's a lot of truth in your words today. But a big truth missing too. Past loves were wonderful if we only look at what was right and that's mostly what we do. But those loves failed either for mutual reasons or that person was a wrong-un for us.
But heck... gimmie those sweet dreams where everything is rosey and i go off to work knackered and race home again to be re-knackered.
Thank you for the pleasant memories.

                      • Teddy.15

Ah but I am not speaking of lovers loss here my dear Dusk, I am speaking of anyone we have happened to love in this case it is about my mother and my brother and my best friend who were all very young when they left earth, fortunately I've never lost a lover to death (as yet) thank you dear friend this one counts simply of anyone who you loved and that has passed. πŸ’–

My dear Teddy, to say you struck a deep nerve in my heart and soul with this one would be an understatement. Your words so very true. I love when you dip your pen in the inkwell of love and bless the page with your words. πŸ˜‰
