Dancing In The Dark

Charles Edward York

She moves her soft black velvet silence
Slowly and surely as shadow
The vines of her secret magic
As subtle space glisten
With desire wet with her aroma
Her branches from on high
Standing at attention
Two blushing halos
Signals of her intentions
For primal fire to be paid
In full measure and more
With praise and affection.

She takes me tenderly by two hands
Leads me close enough to breathe
As emptiness disappears
Because tonight she dares
Two bodies talk together
In flesh and muscle
With souls made for union
Lips to dance
And embrace in endless motion
Speaking in tongues
Echoes of moans
And applause of approval.

“Mmmm” becomes our mutual word
We mate as one world awake
Movements made going
Back and forth
Hands trying to keep up
With slippery bodies
And sensual souls
Until oceans release their fury
Pearls cast on passionate shores
Coming over and over
Repeating our pulse
In so many happy returns.
