Thisishowicope

You've never really known true misery
Until
You identify yourself as somewhat of an atheist
And still, find yourself kneeling
In defeat
In search of redemption
Eyes shut tight
Because the silver shimmer pierces your eyes
And shaking
And trembling
With the effort to spit words out
To beg
Please. Please. No.
Not again.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Hey! A little nervous about this one- It's about how you look up to this one person in your life but as we all have our toxic or just, in general, not-so-great traits that sometimes, no matter how hard we try just end up getting in our way and as your person does their bit, you are left defenseless just praying and waiting for the nightmare to end.
