Alone in the night, engulfed by the darkness
a star overhead shines on me
oh she's so bright, dazzling, spectacular
truly a sight to see
Alone in the night, time seems to stop
as the world around me sleeps
silence fills my ears, fresh air fills my nose
against me I feel a cold breeze
Alone in the night, nirvana is reached
as feelings of peace begin to overwhelm me
worries and stress are absorbed by the moon
no more impending senses of doom
In the dead of midnight, we shared memories and laughed
she's the star I look up to - the love of my life
she became an angel and ascended to light
I think of her every time I'm alone in the night
