Straight A’s

Hoolihooli

a Straight A student, honor roll for her entire schooling career

Her own future and dreams forced to become her fear

no C’s no B’s

but you have no idea what it does to me

I check my grades at least 5 times a day

What if I wanted a job that doesn’t have to do with academics? I’m not allowed to say

Talented oh she is, the definition of perfection

If she wasn’t what else would be her essence?

she must make art as she must be art

she is art, and she is smart she can make art, but what does that do to her heart?

she dances, she sings
She waltzes, she spins
she can write you a book
she wouldn’t be a she if she could not cook
what else what else can you do

I can do anything for you

I can play the guitar and the piano, the violin too

What more can I do?

What more do I have to do

to hear five words from you

“I am proud of you”
