What I Do

tclark090820

I come in when you're tired, lonely and lost.

A friendly face amongst the chaos.

When the darkness takes over and you feel alone.

I'll be here for you because your story is my own.

The world can be scary and feel all wrong.

Just take my hand, I'll show you along.

I'll show you a place where you can finally be free.

With the right treatment and work you can have recovery.

I know it feels hard and you have your doubts.

But I know because I've done it, and you too can break out.

Let me tell you about acceptance, coping skills, and self-care.

No matter how tired you get I'll be right there.

When you put the work in and can finally stand on your own.

Maybe you'll be there to show someone else they aren't alone.

This is my passion, what I was called to do.

Because at the end of it all I have a story too.
