He loved her every bone
made her safe at home
cried tears all alone
Toiled for love
cared every second he could
tried every trick in the book
Through adversity he was bold
with his heart and soul
fought what he couldn’t control
All he told her he meant
every promise he made her he kept
her love his recompense
One day they'll embrace again
no ifs, only when
until then….
