Depths of Despair

Rojah

From the murky waters of sorrow
I tried crawling back to the surface
Searched everywhere for a sliver of light
To get away from the endless blackness
Struggled hard with everything I got
To break away from the suffocation
Until I was drained and emptied
And nothing else to strive with

But it wasn't enough and I was sinking
Deeper into the dark with no escape
And when I knew I won't make it back up
I let go and embraced the shadows
Slowly slipping away into the obscure
And it was calm with no more fears
Serene with no more uncertainties
Only the silences of the unknowns

Beautiful is the bottom of the abyss
Delightful are the depths of despair
