How does sober feel?
Well, when you get sober you finally begin to heal.
Sober is cuddling with my kids and watching tv.
Sober is hearing my dad say he's proud of me.
Sober is my mom calling just to say she cares.
Sober is my sister trusting in an emergency I'm there.
Sober is not constantly looking for my next hit.
Sober is my husband saying he loves me and I actually give a shit.
Sober is the awesome realization that I'm a free thinker.
Sober is not thinking the FBI is doing surveillance because I didn't use a blinker.
Sober is when I'm sad and my dog sits in my lap.
Sober is not staying up for a week and feeling like crap.
Sober is not putting myself in danger to score drugs.
Sober is no longer being abused by wannabe thugs.
Sober is wrapping up in a blanket to watch the thunderstorm.
Sober is allowing true and long lasting bonds to form.
Sober is not telling my life story to the cashier at the counter.
Sober is not sitting in a meet up location because my dealer is late by 3 hours.
Sober is not having blisters in my mouth from smoking dope.
Sober is finally getting to live a life of hope.
There's a million different answers to "How does sober feel?"
If I had to sum it up into a single word I'd say "real".
