Like Fallen Leaves

crackingmeadows

The flowing wind dances around

As the first leaf falls, abandoning the healthy foliage
She trusts the ground, only wishes for a friend
With no lines of fear nor a sign of rage

The green youth laugh at her misery
Possessing not a tear nor a drop of sympathy
The future is unclear to them unlike her
She only smiles but she is misty

A stab in the back and she withdraws them from her heart
Idiocy and ignorance are the big fish that they caught
Beauty of the body is only but brief pleasure
The heart and the mind sweeten; the pretty walls rot
