Ain't It The Truth

When I was young I sought the truth as long as it would please me

But some truths made me uncomfortable so I would ignore them

That turned out to be a very poor plan

It took me to some strange places

Places where I fit in fine but didn't like my company

I later opened my eyes a bit more
