Forgotten

Another night you didn't call
Another day you didn't keep
The promises you made

Chances fading, All I need is a little hope
That one day soon
You'll do what you say

You'll save for our home and put us above
All your silly, stupid little games.

Please, I'm tired, tired of your plans.
I want to dress up and walk through the town
Arm in arm, eyes alight
With warm conversation
Be inspired
And feel

Love

Not taken out on a bloody fishing boat.
In the cold, harsh, wet.
Not watch you from behind
As you try so hard
To feel

Success in the speed of a ball.

Where are you?
Where are you when I'm lying awake
Thinking
About your last mistake?

You're sleeping
And I'm wondering
If I could possibly

erase

all the lies you've told me
From the metallic echo
of my memory

A well penned and heartfelt poem.I particularly liked "Where are you when I'm lying awake
    Thinking
    About your last mistake"

      Wonderfully well expressed poetry.

Is it time to think about not being with this selfish person. There's somebody out ther who would treasure you.
