When words are too rare,
And hearts are too heavy,
A parched soul calls,
For a bit of dampness,
Piled up emotions,
Too heavy to bear,
Flows, Falls down,
In a rivulet of water
Bits of grief, Bits of joy,
Tethered together,
When tears fall, I wonder,
'Is it too sad or Too happy to bear?'

Both. Equally at the same time. Exquisite happy sad
yes indeed saxon it's truly a wonder how extreme emotions no matter happy or sad brings tears. thank you so much for the comment.! :))
Tears of sorrow and tears of joy! If it occurs at the same time, sadness because it had it be endured and happiness because you’ve lived through it. Your poem serves justice to both the emotions! Great poem❤️
thank you judy for your kind comment! :))
Isn't it a wonder that the power of emotion can make us cry when we are happy or sad? You have portrayed this phenomenon so well in beautiful phrasing and flowing lines. Well done dear poetess.
