Easy to Forget

Not Entirely here

Not long ago I was the star that lit up your world,

but with each passing day I feel you drift further away

This sadness stepped into my life and now eats at my soul

over this distance that you and I have no control.

Alone in these sheets I curled

with only my voice to lead our lonely chorus.

I wish I could drown my sorrows in a bottle-

as I wonder how I was so easy to forget.
