A chant of disciplines

Jonas Robinson

Yo, God, why ain't you go where I go?

Yo, fool, I go where the wind blows

Hey, Jesus; I love you, Man

Good, kid. That's part of the plan

Father, yo, am I your favorite son?

No, but apparently you've won

What man? What?

You want me to kick your butt?

I love you, God

Thank you, you're forgiven

It seems I grow older

It seems I grow colder

These riddles and rhymes

Are like tales and lies

Though, in the same

  • Comment from author about the poem: I usually don't say this. You can ask anyone I know, through any culture of life, but I can't take critique on this one. A weak one.

Neat poem about a chant of disciplines.

Not sure why you would be worried about critique on this one Jonas? It's great. Had me from the opening couplet and it never let go until the end

Thank you so much. That was exactly the feedback I was looking for. 🙂
