Life is a giant chess board.
Time moves our pieces.
Fate decides our movement.
What playing piece are you?
Pawn.
Bishop.
Knight.
Queen.
King.
I'll tell you mine.
I am the knight.
Fighting for what is right.
Protecting those who are lost.
I don't want to be the queen.
No I am a warrior.
Fighting for a noble cause.
A cause I believe in.
A cause I would die on my sword for.
A metaphorical sword made of words.
Justice can only come from our own hands.
Freedom can only come from breaking our own chains.
It's time justice and freedom was righted again.
So I ask you again what is your part to play?
There will come a time when you have to decide
who you are.
I hope we are knights fighting on the same side.
Fighting for the same things.
The world is broken and it's up to all of us to
fix it for the next generation.
It's our duty as humans.
Learn your part and play it well.
We need you because every soul on this
planet is important.
No one above the other.
Money means nothing.
Status is nothing.
But your soul and purpose is everything.
Don't turn a blind eye to it.
Objects cloud your vision.
Either the lack of them or the abundance of them.
But they mean nothing when your playing the role
you were born for on the giant chess board of life.

Great writing destiny đ I like your questions in this . I think the soul is very important and so is our purpose . Maybe one of yours is ti write and help others ? I donât know . Often I question what my purpose is
Thank you! You are a wonderful person! I have no doubt that you will find yours. Maybe our purpose is the same thing? You are a gifted writer. But it's also not up to me to answer. All I can say is find what makes you passionate! What would you do even if you were told you would never make a penny? What puts you on cloud nine? What makes you feel like you are whole? Answer those questions and you will find your purpose.
A monumental write Destiny. I would have to say I am also a Knight. Our beliefs and morals are what we live by. Sometimes we get sidetracked in our goals, but we always come back to them if we are true to them. Excellently penned dear poetess. đ
Thank you fellow knight! I couldn't agree more!
Such a powerful poem worded with creative imagery! The line âevery soul is importantâ is so beautiful! Itâs nice to be reminded that you are worthy when itâs hard to see clear through the foggy mindâ¤ď¸
Thank you! Yes people get lost in objects when they are exactly that, objects. Yes you need money to survive but it doesn't add value to you as a person. I get tired of everyone believing that the wealthy are gods when they are from that. All because of objects they see them as above them. Then they see themselves as less than just because they don't have money like that and that is far from the truth. Our roles on this planet are just as equally important as the other. It's a butterfly effect that souls are. As a collective we survive together. As a collective we thrive together.
So true, the wealthy think just because they are privileged they can play with the lives are others, the representation of power with the pawns was just amazing here!
Thank you! Sometimes I think the elites are pawns more than we are if I am honest. They are just people who sold their souls out of fear. Not all of them are bad people and even are trying to help the world. But many of them are living a existence of fear. It's why they need power. It's a sad reality of talking puppets.
So true, power helps irradiate their fear. They are pawns to wealth and power. Itâs sad
Exactly!
" your soul and purpose is everything," words of wisdom. Your poem is beautiful, a pleasure to read. The chess reference is quite apropos. Life requires that we work together for the greater good. Black and white, evil and goodness. Let's fix this planet. - Phil A.
Thank you for your kind comment! Yes let's fix this planet together!
