Dear Friend

_m_ostwanted

I was touched by your solicitude

You become my raft in the rapids of life

My army when I go to war

My peace in the midst of strife

The shore to my shipwrecked soul

A bridge to a lifelong goal

The finish of my olympic run

The shine when there is no sun

A rope when I start to fall

You're my friend and all

You bandaged my wounds

You kissed my bruises

And admired all my scars

You're not just my friend

You're an angel in a human form

  • Comment from author about the poem: I've been away for a while trying to get somethings done. It's never easy. I've not been writing for a while now. I just wrote this piece for a friend - Michelle. ❤️ I appreciate you all 🤗
