Snow globe of me.

kitty the naughty poet

Revolving in circles

spinning around and around

like I'm on display

in this snow globe of life

half up..... half down... half in... half out

half day and half night.

trapped within myself

like my body is stuck in a snow globe centre

and I'm being shaken up and down then side to side.

as anxiety takes over the show

snowing down and silently shredding my essence into shards of glass.

death by a thousand cuts....

all on the inside

while the outside displays

a stone wall look

attempting to hide the pain

from knowing eyes.

Such a novel idea of using a snow globe to show the feeling of being trapped! The poem is written in such a way that I am able to imagine a miniature person stuck in a snow globe 🔮

    Good write Katie.
I thought I saw snow flakes today! No, not the people sort. lol. It was some white wisps from some tree.

Sometimes people feel the loneliness of acceptability. Constantly trying to please others and not knowing success or feeling as though it is futile.
Until today I had never heard it described as being in a snow globe. How creative. It aptly describes the anxiety and loneliness. A wonderful poem. Enjoyed it, immensely. - Phil A.
