I think of you often.
Always on my mind.
I feel you are near.
If only I could see your beautiful
face again.
To be able to talk to you.
Tell my worries to.
As your words of wisdom
tell me everything will be alright.
Share my deepest secrets with.
To touch you again
feel your embrace.
Just one more hug.
To hold your hand
never to let go.
One I talked with,
laughed with,
cried with.
Now I cry for.
It is said it gets easier with time.
The pain and grief subside.
So untrue to me.
Days go by, years do pass, but
the pain and heartbreak of
losing you are just as great
as the day you passed.
All that remains are
the sweet, wonderful
memories of you,
the two of us together.
Oh how I wish I could have
more time, just one more day
with you.
Love you, my mother
my friend.

Beautifully penned Jeannie. ๐
A motherโs touch
Of undying love
Within and all around you
Not just from above
Thank you for your kind words
That's from one of my earliest entries here called That Maternal Touch. I more than understand your feelings for your mother. ๐
I am so sorry for your loss๐ losing a parent can be really hard and the pain will remain through the years. But i am sure your mother is watching you from above!
Thank you for your kind words. My mom passed away 22 yrs ago on June 30th. I have been thinking about her lately. As I always do around this time of yr. She was my best friend. There are times when it still hurts just as much as it did in the beginning.
I can understand ๐ I wish you all the strength to endure the hurt.
Such a beautiful use of language! I really enjoyed reading your poem.
