Dark Green

Well wishers lies;
Kind words and an empty smile
When success is introduced to life
Dark green meets the eye

Burning gossip spreads
Starving hearts to be fed
A content face changes red
As dark green fills the head

Hatred is the new trend
Anger that never ends
Blood relations bled
But dark green remains a friend.

Contagious malady
Sickness amongst many
Incurable for plenty
dark green is the new tragedy
