who told you love would last forever
To spend your lives always and ever
What is this word so freely used
Of this each person can be accussed
Love can die just like a flower
Of this we seem to have no power
They say that love is blind
One cannot read between each line
We are lost in a world with such confusion
And yet under are own illussion
Is this word so true and bold
Or just a secret never to be told
As such it cannot be compared
To some never to be shared

I wrote this poem from the heart. As this word, like many can be used without meaning. This poem is the first one I wrote.
And it’s a good one. Defining love is not easily done! It’s strange that some words can be so specific when it comes to emotion yet that one seems to be a folder in which so many others reside!
I think it’s a really good one for your first! And the fact that the term love is used without meaning is so true. Even in some cases of platonic love, people say that they love their friends but internally loathe them and tend to betray them.
