drifting and daydreaming

Noah Malice

sorry i'm falling
into a pit of despair
can't seem to
convince myself to care

sorry i'm dreaming
been self-deceiving
didn't even notice
you were there

and when i look up at you
in the way that i do
with my eyes holding blue

i wish you would know
what's going on below
lay my heart true and bare

sorry i'm drifting
away on a cloud
i don't think i'll be
coming down

i know it's crazy
and this life is amazing
but from up here
it's a little bit hazy

and when you look up at me
do i at least look free
drifting around on my own

i wish it were clear
what's going on up here
but for now i'll be drifting alone

  • a thousand wishes

This was a very strong poem, like I can feel the emotion just through your words and it made me sad the meaning of this poem but at the same time hopeful because I know that feeling and at least I'm not the only one

When your love takes you and where despair does likewise, we can be transported and the distance is not physical. And most decidedly a very lonesome place to be. Exquisite expression, Gon. And not an easy do. Thanks for sharing.
