About you

Hyacinthe

While you were sleeping I thought about tearing you apart.

I wanted to go out and trade our hearts.

You seemed to be able to breathe

While I couldn’t feel a beat.

I guess that watching you live was good enough for now.

It hurt me for not knowing how.

I wasn’t fearful of death until I saw your face.

To see someone not jaded put me back in my place.

I stood above the ocean, never becoming a part of the sea.

It was confusing, because we were all just drops, weren’t we?
