It's been many years and sad stories

but there's always been something that brings me back.

and the words come flooding into my head.

The emotions return and the memories are clear

with things that were important then.

 

Our favorite songs will always be favorites

although our tastes have changed with the times.

The words somehow magnify the feelings

of a time maybe not so long ago.

 

I remember the sweet bliss of holding you close

as the music filled the room.

I'm taken back to the time

when all that mattered was being with you.
