Rain Showers

Sydney_87

I prefer when it rains,
but it might pour.
I'd have to turn the faucet off,
and not shower anymore.

I like when it rains,
but I hear thunder.
So with sickly red tracing down my fingers,
I’d step out of the shower.

I don't care when it rains,
I see the flash of white.
I just don’t care,
I won’t get hurt.
…and I’d want to decay.

I dread when it rains,
It drowns out the noise.
The music and voices I cherish.
I’ll just shower tomorrow,
or a week from now…

When it rains,
it pours.
I don’t want to do this again...
I’ll just go to bed.

I loathe the rain.
Who needs to shower?

  • Comment from author about the poem: I guess I got hyperfocused and made something that I actually like so I wanted to share it. It may be sad and related to self-harm, but it's nice to vent in healthy ways. :] I added the music because I feel like it fits the vibe? Something like that, it's hard to explain.

keep venting, in a healthy way
    keep healing
    keep writing, Poesy won't ever
    betray your efforts..
