Black rose bleeds

kitty the naughty poet

The black rose bleeds its crimson essence

dripping on to its sterne leaf

to use as bewildering invincible ink

writing poetry about a black heart and ruby lips

shaded to match the scarlet hair framing a porcelain face

swallowed by shadows

embers of forgotten dreams whisper like smoke

rising to bleed into its crimson frame
