A Midsummer Dream

A Midsummer Dream

Cherries are sunned to ruby bright

And apricots don a golden moonlight

I should be in trees light and sprite

Pick and pluck like a monkey king

But I am under fluorescent neolight

Glaze-domed. The summer after I might

Through a metallaxis aestivating

grow polypited into a  cercis tree

With spikes of blossoms all over me

Glow violet, aurora borealis by right
