Is this you?

crackingmeadows

Look at you, judging the mirror hard

The loveliness is standing proud, but all you see is blue
Falling back into the deep abyss
Tell me, is this you?

Society praises the mature swan
The ducklings don't have a clue
As the grass admires them in silence
Tell me, isn't this you?

You rip your hair and you clip your nails
You cut a part of yourself and some other you sew
They say it looks better that way
Tell me, is this you?

Great success, you look like a jigsaw
With tears down your cheek and a fancy shoe
Can't a recognise a thing, are you satisfied?
Tell me, is this you?

A reminder that being you is perfect.

Yes! It is better being yourself than being someone you don't take comfort in.

Interesting words ) I think we should be ourselves and not feel we have to follow , and be a certain way just to suit others .
