I've looked around but all I see

A world that ignores every part of me

A mother her child she stops to scold

I stand there alone just growing old

A couple walks by smiling hand in hand

I stand by myself alone in this land

Groups of people coming together to speak

My voice is unheard my voice is too weak

A group preaches hate because they've never known love

I've never known it not even from above

A government brands a person enemy of the state

Life branded me that so I can relate

I've spread understanding and kindness my whole life through

But that account is empty and my bill has come due

I leave this world knife in hand

My hour glass has finally run out of sand

  • Comment from author about the poem: I didn\\\'t intend to write a poem but it probably the best way to say good bye. I truly sorry I didn\\\'t post a lot of things I wrote specifically for this sight and the people here but it just made me feel more alone because friendship is torture when your life is absent of touch. One hug may havebsaved my life on smile a kind word anything other than complete and utter loneliness. Good bye and good fortune to everyone here you were the closest thing a had to friends sorry I wasn\\\'t around more and couldn\\\'t stay longer.
