May

Noah Malice

may you do more good than harm
and lie down in the right arms
and you don't need luck because you
are a good luck charm

may you make brand new mistakes
and learn along the way
and not repeat the same old ones
that your old man made

may you love with all your heart
and finish things you start
i've been given a reason for living
and you have been a part

oh may
what will you do today?
you may not always see the road
but i know you'll find a way

oh may
you don't have to be so blue
a thousand wishes may come and go
but at least one will come true

so i'll see you when you're done
under the setting sun
may you love the life you have to live
there may not be another one

  • a thousand wishes

I ABSOLUTELY love this poem, it's my favorite out of all the poems I have read on here and I don't say that about just any poem, so don't take it lightly 🙂 and the a thousand wishes part!! I melted and this whole poem was just so beautiful and artistic. So many emotions carried throughout your poem but the biggest one was love and your emphasis on it was enviable

This line strikes so hard. Well written!
